Hello everybody,
I hope you had or have a wonderful thursday. Here in Germany it´s almost midnight and I´m only a few minutes away from the holy friday. And then the wonderful weekend will be there.
I know,, i know... I didn´t write for a long time. I stopped on the 32nd day of my blog and didn´t post anything until today. But honestly! I wasn´t at all in the mood to write anything. i wouldn´t say depression but I was just not in the mood to do a lot of things except going to the library (It´s so wonderful quiet there in the morning!), going for walks (even though it was really cold and snowy!) and knitting, knitting, knitting... I finished a hat, as always way to small for my head so I will sell it as a kids hat in my store, and starting a long term project which will help me between other knitting projects to clear my mind.
Have you ever knitted in bed? NO! Do it! It´s so relaxing and listening to the late night radio when they play alternative or old love songs? This always helps me to relax and think about everything.
So, hat have I been up to lately in the knitting department? Here we go:
I started and finished a hat with Cascade 220 yarn in pink and Lana Grossa kids mohair. It really keeps your head warm and is really nice and soft because of the mohair:
And then I found some really soft yarn in a 99 cents store. It´s like the dollar stores in the states. And even so though it´s not that easy to knit I had the fantastic plan to knit a baby blanket with it. Well, one skein doesn´t contain a lot of yarn, only 50 m. So, after bein hard on my self to have spend that money on that yarn. I thought at least I can knit a scarf out of it. It it´s not long enough I will sew a pillowcase out of it. So you see, I have a lot of ideas when I start one project and you can never be sure what I will dou out of it in the end....
Well, during this process I found a picture of a knitted blanket out of small squares on flickr. I saw it right here:
misplacedomIn her descripton of the picture, she mention a blog of a woman who already knitted a blanket like that and where you can find the instruction. I will also post the link to her blog here, so everybody who wants also with this blanket will know how.

And here are the pictures of my start and my progress: (And yes, you´re allowed to call me insane, because I want a hughe blanket. really hughe!)
During last week, I also had my friend Bianca over, to teach her how to crochet Amigurumis. Wehadnt enough time. So I just showed her the basics and lend her a book about it. She called me today and told me that she crochet a mouse and an Oreo cookie. Her daughter loves to play with it.
Well, so far from my side. Check my flickr account for more new pics, and I will post again tomorrow...
